Tenerife
Teide's slopes and coastal singletrack, run back to back across two dedicated weeks so every runner gets a level built for them. Same base in Tacoronte, same small team, one coach with you the whole time.
Two camps, one island
Same base in Tacoronte, same team, two different weeks so you run the level that actually matches where you're at.
On the trail with you, every single day
Whichever week you join, Lisa guides every session on the trails to make you feel safe and show you her favourite places on this beautiful island.
The terrain
Tenerife lets you run a full mountain in a single week. Trails climb through pine forest and volcanic soil up onto Teide's slopes, then drop back down toward coastal singletrack near sea level, two completely different worlds a short drive apart.
Both weeks run the same island, but the routes are scaled to the group. The advanced week climbs higher onto the volcano with longer days and real altitude to deal with, the intermediate week stays lower on the mountain (or we drive up a bit higher with the cars) and covers more of the coastal and mid-elevation trail instead.
Whichever week fits you, expect loose volcanic gravel and technical terrain on the higher sections and a noticeably harder effort at altitude than the pace on your watch suggests. We build the week around that.
Volcanic soil and gravel, pine forest, coastal singletrack
600 to 1500m of gain per day, depending on the week
Moderate. Loose footing higher up, altitude on the advanced week
Warm at the coast, cooler and windier up on Teide
The program
Both weeks follow the same shape: the biggest effort lands midweek and you leave tired but fulfilled, not wrecked.
Arrival & settle in
Fly in whenever it suits you, we handle the transfer from the airport. In the afternoon, when everyone has arrived, we do a gear check and get to know each other over dinner.
First trail day
An easier route through the pine forest to find your legs, followed by a technique session on looser volcanic footing so it stops feeling foreign by the afternoon.
Building day
A longer route climbing further onto the mountain, more altitude than day one, still well inside your week's range. Guided yoga session in the afternoon to help you recover.
The big day
The main event of the week, the longest run of the camp linking Teide's slopes and coastal singletrack. This is what the rest of the week has been building toward.
Shake out & recover
A short easy run or full rest, your call. The afternoon is yours to explore, nap, or just sit still for once.
Wrap up
Light breakfast, a short debrief with Lisa on where to take your training next, checkout by midday.
This schedule gives you an idea of what each week looks like. The advanced week climbs higher and pushes further per day; the intermediate week follows a gentler version of the same structure. Plans can shift with the weather or the wishes of the group.

Is Tenerife your camp?
Advanced
You've got real trail running experience under your belt, or plenty of hiking experience, that's OK too. You're comfortable on routes of more than 15km with more than 800m of elevation gain. That's the bar for the 27 Oct – 1 Nov week.
Intermediate
You've got some trail experience already, or plenty of hiking experience, that's OK too. You're comfortable running 10-15km (pace doesn't matter), on routes with more than 800m of elevation gain. That's the bar for the 3–8 Nov week.
Not quite there yet, or looking for something gentler? See the other camps or check the full level guide.
What runners say
Tenerife, specifically
What's the difference between the advanced and intermediate weeks?
Pace, distance, and how much of Teide you take on. The advanced week climbs higher onto the volcano with longer days and more altitude exposure. The intermediate week covers the same island at a gentler distance and stays lower on the mountain. Same base, same team, different routes.
Will I feel the altitude on Teide?
Possibly, especially on the advanced week where routes climb higher. It's nothing extreme, but expect your effort to feel a bit harder than the number on your watch suggests once you're up there. We pace accordingly.
Can I sign up for both weeks back to back?
Yes, some runners do exactly that. Let us know when you apply and we'll sort the logistics between the two weeks so you're not flying home and back in between.
Do I need to bring poles?
If you feel more comfortable running with poles, we'd highly recommend bringing them, we'll be covering quite some elevation gain. Just know that poles aren't always allowed on the trails, some sections run through protected natural areas where they're restricted.
Ready to run Tenerife?
Spots are capped at 8 runners per week. Apply for the week that matches your level.
