not sure where you fit?

Which level are you?

Every camp lists a difficulty. Here's roughly what each one means so you can pick the right trip, not just the prettiest one.

Explorer

You've just started trail running, mostly on gravel so far. You're comfortable running 10km, on routes with at least 300m of elevation gain.

Intermediate

You've got some trail experience already, or you're coming over from hiking. You're comfortable running 10-15km, pace doesn't matter, on routes with more than 800m of elevation gain.

Advanced

You've got real trail running experience under your belt. You're comfortable on routes of more than 15km with more than 800m of elevation gain.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be fast to join a camp?

No. You need to be consistent, not fast. Every camp is capped at 6 runners specifically so we can coach to where you actually are, not to some imaginary average. We've had first-time trail runners and ultra veterans on the same trip.

Are spots limited?

Yes, very. Every camp has a very limited amount of spots, that's not a marketing line, it's how we make sure every runner gets real, individual coaching instead of getting lost in a crowd.

What's actually included in a camp?

Coaching, accommodation, all meals, and transfers from the nearest hub. Flights and insurance aren't included, but we work together with IATI so every runner is properly covered and feels safe out on the trails. You get yourself to the mountain, we handle everything else.

Do I need an insurance?

Yes, you'll need your own travel and activity insurance for the camp. We work together with IATI, so if you don't have anything sorted yet, get in touch with us directly and we'll help you find the right day insurance for the trip.

How many people are on a camp?

Usually six runners, max. For the race camps that can be a little higher. Either way it's a small enough group that Lisa, Nick, and Fede can actually take care of everyone.

Do I need a training plan before I arrive?

You should be trained for the experience level you sign up for, beginner, intermediate, or advanced. You can do that with your own coach, or get in touch with Lisa about her personal coaching or the Run Smarter App to get properly prepared.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Tell us when you apply. Nick cooks for every camp and adjusts for allergies, intolerances, and preferences. Nobody eats plain rice while everyone else has dinner.

What's the cancellation policy?

Full terms go out with your booking confirmation, including deadlines and what's refundable. If something comes up, talk to us directly, we'd rather work it out than quote a policy at you.

How do I sign up?

Go to the camp you'd like to join and fill out the form. We'll get back to you as soon as possible to see if it's a fit, then send you the booking form so we have everything we need to give you a wonderful experience.
