Code of Conduct
how we run camps together

Code of Conduct

Welcome to our trail running community! To keep our small-group camps safe, intimate, and deeply rewarding, we live by a shared set of values. By joining us, you agree to bring a spirit of mutual support and show the highest respect for your fellow runners, our hard-working crew, the local communities we visit, and the natural world.

1

Respect for the Group

The "No-Drop" Spirit

Because our groups are small, our collective energy matters immensely. We move as a team, not individual racers.

✓

Honor all paces. We maintain a strict "no-drop" policy. We wait at trail junctions, check in on one another, and celebrate each other's victories.

✓

Leave ego at the trailhead. If you are a faster runner choosing a slower group or camp, adapt your pace to support the collective vibe rather than pushing from the front.

✓

Practice punctuality. Respect your team's time by showing up ready, geared up, and on time for all scheduled departures.

✓

Unplug to connect. To ensure safety and foster genuine connection, we highly discourage running with headphones or blasting personal Bluetooth speakers.

2

Respect for the Crew

Our coaches, guides, and support staff work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep you safe, fed, and on track.

✓

Follow safety directives. Listen closely to briefings and strictly follow the safety guidelines set by the camp leaders regarding terrain, weather, and traffic.

✓

Communicate honestly. Inform the crew immediately if you are experiencing any illness, injuries, or unusual fatigue.

✓

Never vanish. If you need to step away from the group, take a break, or drop out of a session, you must directly notify the lead or sweep guide. Never leave a trail unannounced.

3

Respect for the House & Local Living

Shared Accommodation

During our camps, we don't just visit a destination, we live in it. We always stay in a local home, and our goal is to fit seamlessly into the local neighborhood like good neighbors.

✓

Responsible alcohol use. We want everyone to unwind and enjoy their evenings, but alcohol consumption must remain strictly responsible and must never impact the safety, comfort, or early-morning performance of the group.

✓

Zero tolerance substance policy. We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy for recreational drug and substance use at our camps; possession or use will result in immediate removal.

✓

Mind the quiet hours. Respect the sleep of both your fellow runners and our local neighbors. Keep noise to a minimum during designated quiet hours (typically 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM).

✓

Share the space with care. Keep common areas tidy, be mindful of your bathroom usage time, and respect the privacy of those sharing your room.

✓

Manage trail grime. Leave the trails outside. Strip off muddy shoes and wet gear at the designated entrance or mudroom before walking through the house.

✓

Honor the property. Treat the house, its appliances, and its utilities with the same care you would your own home. Report any accidental damage to the crew immediately.

4

Respect for Nature

Leave No Trace

The wild spaces we run through are fragile ecosystems. We are visitors, and we aim to leave them entirely undisturbed.

✓

Pack it in, pack it out. Absolutely zero littering. This includes biodegradable food scraps like banana peels or apple cores, as well as micro-trash like gel tabs.

✓

Stay on the trail. Avoid cutting switchbacks or trampling fragile vegetation to prevent soil erosion and habitat destruction.

✓

Handle "nature calls" properly. If caught short between facilities, move well away from trails and water sources. Pack out all used toilet paper or wet wipes in a sealed baggie.

✓

Do not disturb wildlife. Observe animals from a distance, never feed them, and respect local flora.

5

Respect for the Local Community

We actively seek to build goodwill with the local towns, land managers, and other trail users who share these beautiful spaces.

✓

Yield the trail. Be courteous to other trail users. Generally, downhill runners yield to uphill runners, and runners yield to hikers and horses. Announce your presence politely when passing from behind.

✓

Support local. Show kindness and patience to local business owners, accommodation hosts, and residents we encounter during our stay.

✓

Be an ambassador. Represent the trail running community with integrity. Keep noise levels mindful when running near residential areas or quiet wilderness zones.

our commitment to you

An inclusive, safe, life-changing experience

We strive to create an inclusive, safe, and life-changing experience. If a participant's behavior repeatedly breaches this code of conduct or compromises the safety and well-being of the group, our crew reserves the right to remove them from the camp activities without a refund.
